House passes 'big, beautiful bill', sending it to Trump's desk

House Republicans passed President Donald Trump’s tax and spending bill on Thursday, sending it to his desk for a signature. The 218-214 vote came before the July 4 deadline, with just two Republicans voting against it. Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York held the floor for more than eight hours with a record-breaking speech against the bill to delay the vote.
