Friend says authorities ignored red flags before St. Clair County shooting of doctor

A longtime friend of Thomas Williamson said repeated warnings about the 43-year-old’s deteriorating mental state and his access to guns around his severely autistic son went unheeded in the weeks before Williamson’s girlfriend, Dr. Kathleen Fabian, was shot inside her St. Clair County home.
