Woman charged in fatal shooting of foster family members appears in court

Shuvonne Vinson appeared in court for a preliminary hearing where she faces two counts of open murder among other charges for the fatal shooting of two foster family members. Jeffrey Burnhard, a witness and victim, recounted the harrowing events of New Year’s Day when Vinson and two others entered his home, held his family at gunpoint, and demanded money before shooting him and his wife. Burnhard survived, but the children were initially missing; his 9-year-old daughter was found with Vinson, and his 4-year-old daughter was discovered nearby. Vinson reportedly admitted to the murders and was armed when arrested; she awaits trial on multiple charges.
