Study: Fries may boost diabetes risk by 20%
A new study reveals a 20% increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes for individuals consuming french fries three times a week. This risk is attributed to the preparation method in hot oil, which raises calorie and trans fat content, leading to inflammation and blood vessel damage, affecting blood sugar levels. In contrast, consuming other potato forms like baked or mashed potatoes did not demonstrate the same association.
