Oakland County police agencies deploy new high-tech cameras for Woodward Dream Cruise

Oakland County police agencies have deployed high-tech cameras and other security measures for the 30th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, expected to draw over a million visitors. The event features 18 Clearview Towers with AI technology to track vehicles and individuals, supplemented by drones, helicopters, and patrols. A new joint operations center in Royal Oak will coordinate responses across nine communities. The Cruise, celebrating its 30th anniversary, requires participants without classic cars to use specific lanes and imposes restrictions on vehicle weight and drone operations.
