Texts from church leaders reveal treatment of call center workers in Michigan, other states
Two church leaders, David Taylor and Michelle Brannon, were arrested for exploiting call center workers to solicit donations, which they used for luxury purchases. Operating under the Kingdom of God Global Church, they coerced workers in multiple states, imposing harsh conditions such as sleep deprivation and food deprivation, while also denying medical care. The workers were forced to apply for government aid and surrender their benefits to Taylor and Brannon, who misappropriated millions in donations for personal luxury items. Taylor and Brannon face charges including Conspiracy to Commit Forced Labor and Money Laundering, each carrying significant prison terms and fines.
