Fall colors muted by dry weather and warm temperatures in southeastern Michigan
Southeastern Michigan is experiencing muted fall foliage due to a lack of rainfall and warmer-than-average temperatures. Meteorologist Bryan Schuerman reports that dry conditions over the past month have delayed and subdued the typical color changes. While Monroe County saw some rain recently, most of the region remains dry, affecting the vibrancy of the leaves. A cooldown is expected soon, but the fall colors will likely remain muted this season.
