Man accused of stealing iPad during Facebook Marketplace exchange in Macomb County tased by police

A man was arrested for allegedly stealing an iPad during a Facebook Marketplace exchange in Shelby Township. The robbery happened at Pebble Creek Apartments near Utica Road on Oct. 9. Jared Tyhir Barber met with someone at the apartment complex for an iPad 16 that was put for sale on Facebook Marketplace. During the exchange, the seller handed the iPad to Barber to inspect it before completing the sale. Once Barber had the iPad in his hands, he allegedly took off running.
