Michigan anesthesiologist Joel Adelsberg sentenced to at least 6 years in prison in child porn case

A Michigan Anesthesiologist was sentenced to prison on Monday after pleading guilty to a child porn charge. Joel Michael Adelsberg, 36, pleaded guilty to a federal charge of distribution of child pornography. It was recommended that he spend 151-188 months in prison. On Oct. 27, 2025, he was sentenced to 78 months, or 6.5 years, in prison.
