SWAT uses tear gas, flash bangs in Livonia hours-long standoff

Livonia police have been in a standoff for over seven hours at a condo on Ann Arbor Trail, where a suspect has refused to surrender despite attempts using flash bangs, tear gas, and smoke grenades. It began as a welfare check, escalating when the suspect fired shots, leading to the deployment of a SWAT team. Despite multiple attempts to access the residence, including efforts via the garage and basement window, the suspect remains inside, while his grandparents, who live with him, were not present during the standoff.
