New AI data center announced in Washtenaw County

University of Michigan alumnus and billionaire developer Stephen Ross is teaming up with OpenAI and Oracle to build a massive new data center just outside of Ann Arbor. If the state approves the plan, the project would include a 250-acre campus in Saline Township, with construction getting underway in 2026.
