Driver wakes from sleep, pushes patrol car into traffic in Livingston County

A 44-year-old man, Eric Stein, was arrested after a standoff on I-96 in Brighton, Livingston County. He was allegedly found asleep behind the wheel with his foot on the brake, and upon waking, he refused to put the car in park, instead accelerating and pushing a police cruiser into traffic. After being stopped, Stein reportedly argued with officers until they forcibly removed him from the vehicle.
