Man faces charges for allegedly photographing 9-year-old girl in Oakland County store bathroom

A 45-year-old man, Dale Frye, was arrested in Detroit for allegedly photographing a 9-year-old girl in a Southfield store restroom. The incident occurred on October 22, when Frye reportedly entered the women's restroom at a Michael's store and took images over the girl’s stall. Following an investigation using facial recognition technology, police arrested Frye on November 24, seizing phones, computers, and firearms from his home. He faces charges including capturing or distributing images of an unclothed person and is scheduled to appear in court on December 8, 2025.
