Video: Suspects use stolen truck to rip open Livonia store doors, steal liquor and lottery tickets
Video footage shows suspect using a pickup truck to rip the doors off the Mirage Market at 28292 Joy Road at about 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, in order to steal alcohol, lottery tickets and cash, according to police. Police located the suspect vehicle, a stolen truck, shortly after a resident called 911 and gave real time updates of the break-in. During a pursuit, the passenger in the suspect vehicle fled on foot, and remains at large. A short time after that, the driver fled on foot and was arrested after a brief foot chase. That suspect, identified as 32-year-old Marcus Martez Purnell, 32, of Detroit, has been arraigned on charges in connection with the break-in and pursuit.
