Car fire closes EB I-94 near 8 Mile for several hours

A stretch of eastbound I-94 is closed early Wednesday morning due to a car fire. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reported the freeway closure just after 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 17. MDOT reported that eastbound I-94 is closed from 8 Mile to 9 Mile Road.
