Court hearing: Former detective in charge of Dee Warner murder case arrested ahead of trial
The detective who was in charge of the investigation into Dee Warner’s murder is accused of fleeing Michigan to avoid providing testimony in trial. Retired Lenawee County detective Kevin Greca is a material witness in the trial against Dale Warner, according to court records. Greca retired in August 2024. The Lenawee County sheriff said he was the detective in charge of the investigation in the Dee Warner murder case. Dale is accused of murdering his wife, Dee, who disappeared in April 2021. Her remains were found on the family’s property more than three years later. Dale was charged with open murder and tampering with evidence in the death of his wife. His trial is expected to begin Jan. 27, 2026.
