Dale Warner murder trial defense seeks more juror dismissals, evidence challenges

Dale Warner, accused of murdering his wife Dee Warner, who vanished in April 2021, appeared in court in Lenawee County, where the trial is set to begin on January 27, 2026. His defense attorney filed motions for a change of venue due to media coverage, exclusion of jail calls citing attorney-client privilege, and alleged prosecution's failure to disclose evidence, but all were denied. The judge allowed more peremptory challenges in jury selection and scheduled a Daubert hearing to assess an expert witness's relevance. Some irrelevant photos and witness statements were excluded from the trial.
