Michigan flu season hits highest levels, ERs overwhelmed with patients

Most of the country is experiencing high levels of flu, severely impacting emergency rooms and hospitals. In Michigan, flu activity is at its peak, with real-time data from Henry Ford Health indicating a 33% positive rate for flu tests, significantly higher than the usual 15-20%. Dr. Linoj Samuel highlights the atypical presence of both flu A and flu B strains early in the season and notes an increase in COVID and RSV cases.
