Full hearing: How trials for 3 charged in Washtenaw County foster family killings will proceed

A Washtenaw County judge denied a request for separate trials in the Northfield Township foster family double murder case, but said all three defendants can't be tried together. Shuvonne Vinson, Gregory Callhan and Keith Finley appeared in court virtually for the motion hearing on Jan. 7, 2026. While the judge denied one of the defendant's requests for a separate trial, he said that two of the defendants will have their trials held together as the court doesn't have the capacity to hold all three at one time, as there isn't space for three separate juries.
