Chief: Body found in river during search for missing Dearborn Heights man

Police found a body in the river at Hines Park while searching for a 30-year-old missing man with autism. A multi-jurisdiction search for Yousif Hassan Naim was underway on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, when a body was found. Naim was last seen at about 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 near Warren and Ann Arbor Trail in Dearborn Heights. The body was not identified, but the chief confirmed that the search had been called off and that he spoke with the family.
