Oakland County ice dancers balance marriage, Olympic dreams at nationals

Ice dancers Eva Pate and Logan Bye, who are also life partners, are competing at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Louis to secure a spot on Team USA for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. Their rigorous routine includes three to four hours of on-ice training and an hour of off-ice work daily, with responsibilities extending to choreographing routines and selecting music collaboratively.
