Romulus man accused of firing gun outside middle school curses judge during virtual court appearance
Shawntez Marshaun Gregory, 44, was charged with multiple offenses, including making threats of violence against Romulus Middle School, where his son attended, and firing a gun near the school premises. During a virtual court hearing, Gregory cussed out the judge and refused to cooperate, leading to his identification by the court based on circumstantial evidence. Despite being asked to state his name and respond to allegations, Gregory remained defiant and silent, expressing claims of racism and dissatisfaction with the judicial process. The judge followed police recommendations to remand Gregory without bond due to his history of trespassing and kidnapping his son from the school.
