Maria Scott's quick thinking prevents school tragedy

Maria Scott, a secretary at Romulus Middle School, heroically prevented an armed man from entering the school, ensuring the safety of students and staff. Her quick thinking and alertness were vital during the incident with Shawntez Gregory, a parent she had encountered before. When Gregory approached with a gun, Scott immediately called 911 and initiated a school lockdown. Her actions were driven by the responsibility she feels for the students, viewing them as her own children, which exemplifies her dedication to her role.
