Southfield apartment fire displaces families, Red Cross steps in amid cold

A fire erupted early Thursday at the Oxley Apartments in Southfield, displacing dozens of families amidst freezing temperatures. Firefighters from multiple areas responded to the three-alarm fire, evacuating residents and using ladders for rescues. Though damage was visible, no serious injuries occurred, with two people hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The Red Cross is assisting 27 displaced people, urging affected families to seek help.
