What to know about apprenticeship program only held at Washtenaw Community College, how to apply
We’re shining our Trade Up spotlight on a program at a local community college that’s taking applications. Washtenaw Community College said it’s the only college in Michigan participating in the Federation of Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME). It’s a paid apprenticeship program involving about 1,800 hours of hands-on training with partners like Toyota. The deadline to apply this time around is March 21. Brandon Tucker, the Executive Vice President of Instruction for Washtenaw Community College, joined Local 4 Live to talk about the program.
