Fire chief: 3 hurt in Ypsilanti Township gas explosion, hazmat teams at the scene

Ypsilanti Township Fire Chief Steven Densmore gave an update on the explosion that happened at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026. He said three people were injured and taken to local hospitals, and that hazmat teams are at the scene investigating.
