Grain train derails in Pittsfield Township, causing road closures and cleanup

A train derailed in Pittsfield Township, Washtenaw County, causing several road closures as crews work to clear the tracks. At least 13 cars went off track near Payeur Road, leaving no hazardous materials spilled and no injuries reported. The incident involved a grain shipment, which will not reach its destination, and the locomotive engine was seen sparking while hanging off the broken track. Roads affected include Payeur Road, closed between State Street and Marton Road, and Morgan Road, closed between Venture Drive and Stone School Road, with closures expected to last several days.
