Teens charged in tree lighting shooting at Partridge Creek that injured 17-year-old
Two 16-year-olds, King Payne and Christian Griffin, have been charged as adults following a shooting during a tree lighting ceremony at the Mall at Partridge Creek on November 23, which injured a 17-year-old from Mount Clemens. Prosecutors assert that Griffin initiated the conflict and called Payne, who allegedly fired the shots, resulting in the victim being shot four times. The suspects have been issued a collective $7 million bond, with Payne facing additional concerns due to alleged connections to other crimes. Both teens are scheduled for a court appearance on March 2.
