3 charged in Macomb County mansion ambush appear in court

A Macomb County business owner, Eddie Jawad, testified that he was shot outside his home shortly after demanding credit card statements from his longtime office manager, Dawn Huffman, who is accused of embezzling over $100,000. Dawn, her husband Rachard Huffman, and his brother Jasan Martin are charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, with Jasan facing additional charges related to the shooting. Jawad described his trust in Dawn, who managed finances for his businesses, and recounted the day of the shooting when he was ambushed in his driveway. Despite being injured, Jawad later received the credit card statements, which initially showed only business-related transactions, and Dawn ceased coming to work following Jasan's arrest.
