Michigan’s 2025 high school graduation rate reaches record high
Michigan’s 2025 high school graduation rate reached a record high, according to Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Education reported on Feb. 20 that the state’s 2025 four-year graduation rate improved to the highest level since Michigan adopted the federal formula for calculating the rate in 2008. Deputy superintendent of the division assessment, school improvement and systems support at the Michigan Department of Education, Dr. Delsa Chapman, joined Local 4 Live to talk about what's working to get these numbers up.
