Newborn baby dies after being mauled by family dog in Novi

A 5-day-old baby girl in Novi was fatally mauled by the family dog on the morning of March 17. The incident occurred when family members discovered the dog attacking the infant in a room at their home near Novi and 13 Mile roads. The child succumbed to her injuries, and the dog was subsequently removed for quarantine.
