Fiery crash closes Ford Road at Haggerty Road

Ford Road near I-275 in Wayne County is closed Wednesday afternoon due to a crash involving a semi-truck and a car. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported the crash at 12:42 p.m. on March 18. All lanes are closed in both directions on Ford Road at Haggerty Road near I-275. MDOT also reported that both directions on the exit ramps from I-275 to Ford Road are closed. It’s unclear if there were any injuries. Fire officials said there is no estimated time for the road to reopen to traffic.
