Meijer customers face vehicle damage after diesel mixed into regular gas

Auto repair shops along Groesbeck Highway have seen a surge in customers after Meijer confirmed that regular gasoline at its Clinton Township Meijer Express was accidentally mixed with diesel fuel between March 17 and March 19. Affected drivers reported engine troubles such as rumbling, hesitation, and smoke, with some receiving emails from Meijer explaining the cause. Meijer has attributed the incident to a third-party fuel provider, is contacting affected customers, and has pledged to reimburse related expenses while promising to prevent similar issues in the future.
