Trump cracks down on mail ballots after voting by mail in Florida election

President Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies to review voter roll data and enhance mail-in voting security, including the creation of a verified citizenship list and new ballot tracking measures. The order, which faces likely legal challenges, targets mail-in voting practices that Trump has repeatedly claimed are fraudulent, despite existing laws prohibiting non-citizen voting and his own recent use of mail-in ballots. Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson criticized the move as a disruptive attempt at voter suppression and defended the integrity of current election processes.
