Man stabs Livonia officer after entering station lobby, threatening to kill everyone, police say

A man experiencing a mental health crisis entered the Livonia police station lobby, threatened to kill everyone, and brandished a knife. Officers and a crisis clinician attempted to de-escalate the situation, but after Tasers were deployed and a struggle ensued, the man stabbed an officer in the leg and kicked another, causing an accidental firearm discharge that did not injure anyone. Both the suspect and the injured officer were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay. The investigation is ongoing.
