Why early detection is key to fighting, beating cancer

How many times have you heard that early detection is the key to fighting and beating cancer? The Prevent Cancer Foundation is sharing the results of its 2026 survey. They tell us 35 percent of Americans say they're behind because they worry about the costs. 19 percent cite skepticism about the health care system. And among those people, 49 percent say they believe the system puts profits over patient care. Jody Hoyos, the CEO of the Prevent Cancer Foundation, explains the importance of early detection.
