Black Maternal Health Week kicks off -- what to know

Supporting Black mothers and their babies is moving into the national spotlight this week. The annual event for Black Maternal Health Week is celebrating its 10th anniversary.  It started with the Black Mamas Matter Alliance to fight reproductive injustices and health inequities. The week runs every year from April 11-17.
