Go 4 It: How Detroit PAL program helps kids hoops dreams come true

Montrell Brown, a sophomore at Pershing High School, says basketball is his life, but the shoes that go with it have cost his single mother hundreds of dollars. This Wednesday, April 15, Local 4's Go 4 It event is collecting new and gently used basketball shoes, along with new socks, to support PAL's "Hoopin' with Cops" program. The initiative, the first through PAL in 40 years, uses the game to build mentorship and trust between young men and police officers.
