Detroit unveils 6-point summer safety plan targeting teen takeovers, drag racing

As warmer weather approaches, Detroit city officials are getting ahead of anticipated seasonal crime with a new six-point public safety plan. Mayor Mary Sheffield and Police Chief Todd Bettison announced the strategy, which focuses on neighborhood safety, conflict resolution and youth engagement.
