Shelby Township residents urged to stay off Clinton River due to increased water flow

Shelby Township police are urging residents to stay off the Clinton River until further notice due to recent weather and increased water flow. Police said the Clinton River is unsafe for any recreational use as of April 16. Unstable riverbanks, strong currents and hazardous debris created dangerous conditions and can increase the risk of injury or accidental drowning.
