What to know about free summer program for K-8 students in Metro Detroit

The weather has been slow to warm up, but summer vacation is coming faster than you might think. This morning, we talked about one way to stop brain drain and keep kids safe. The United Way for Southeastern Michigan has a program called Summer Discovery. It's hoping to get 50,000 kids involved in its no-cost summer learning program. It's for K-8 students in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
