Oakland County Auto Theft Task Force raids home of Lathrup Village Chamber of Commerce president

Mark Watts, a well-known community leader, business owner, and president of the Lathrup Village Chamber of Commerce, was taken into custody after Oakland County’s Auto Theft Task Force raided his home. Deputies removed large evidence bags, several guns, and towed away two vehicles, surprising neighbors and friends who described Watts as a positive community figure. While no charges have been filed and details remain scarce, officials confirmed the search was part of an ongoing investigation, and Watts was released without being charged. Local police clarified they were not involved in the investigation, and further information is pending from the sheriff’s office.
