Go 4 It: From lawnmowers to rakes, tool donations pour in for Detroit’s Bailey Park Tool Library

Metro Detroit residents rallied in May to donate tools to the Bailey Park Tool Library on Detroit’s east side, contributing everything from hand tools to heavy-duty equipment for community use. Many donations were made in memory of loved ones, and organizers noted the event filled crucial gaps in the library's inventory, supporting both neighborhood beautification and home projects. The effort involved partnerships with five tool libraries and the City of Detroit, and saw past recipients of community generosity, like Sgt. Bryant George, also giving back. Ongoing tool donations are encouraged to support these initiatives.
