Tigers game brings emotional reunion between organ donor family, recipient inside Comerica Park

During the Detroit Tigers’ 125th Anniversary celebration and “Donate Life Night” at Comerica Park, the family of Colin Aronson met Andy Uyttenhove, who received Colin’s pancreas after Colin’s death at age 25. Colin, a lifelong Tigers fan and registered organ donor, saved six lives through his donations. The meeting was filled with emotion as both families reflected on Colin’s legacy of generosity and the impact of organ donation. The event highlighted the profound connections and hope created by organ donation, as well as the ongoing need for donors in Michigan.
