Comfortable start to the week across Metro Detroit

A very comfortable start to the week with Monday morning temps in the low to mid 60s as you head out with a few areas of patchy fog in the suburbs west and north of Detroit. We will get tons of sun this morning and afternoon, and the humidity will be very low making today the most comfortable of the week. Highs in the low to mid 80s with winds ENE 5-10 mph

Tuesday starts off nice and mild but we will feel the changes coming in through the afternoon tomorrow. Highs will be flirting with 90 degrees and the humidity will begin to rise steadily heading into the late afternoon and evening. There is a slight chance for rain and isolated thundershowers through the mid to late afternoon especially near the Ohio Border. Many of you north of I-94 may not see much action, but just wait your turn.

Wednesday will be very warm and muggy. Highs will hit the low 90s and the heat index or ‘feels like’ temps will soar into the mid and maybe upper 90s. This intense heat could spark an isolated shower or storm and the odds increase as we head into Thursday. Our best chance at more widespread rain coverage will be later in the week from early Thursday through Saturday. This is not non-stop rain, but chances are high for showers coming and going as the heat and humidity linger.
