Metro Detroit weather forecast: Temps fall below freezing overnight, rise come Tuesday

Tonight, clouds will be increasing throughout the night. However, we'll stay dry with light winds,  do stay out and celebrate the Lions' division title as long as you want (wishcasting).

Temperatures will drop to the mid 20s for overnight lows.

We should wake up Monday morning to temperatures in the low 30s, on their way to the low 40s by evening.  Skies will be cloudy with just a few sprinkles, mainly in the late afternoon and evening.  But the majority of Monday will be dry.

Tuesday is warmer and wetter.  We'll see a good dose of rain, mainly in the morning and midday.  There's sharply colder air on the way, so if the rain lingers we'll have to watch for a possible switchover to some mixed precipitation by Tuesday night.  Right now, plan on all liquid.

Highs will get to their warmest mark of the forecast, staying in the upper 40s.

Wednesday we'll start out around 30 and watch temperatures fall through the day.  Some light snow (lake enhanced) will be around, but it doesn't look significant.

Beyond that, its just plain cold.  Lows will be in the low-to-mid teens.  Highs will be in the low-to-mid 20s for the end of the week.

We'll see a flurry or snow shower at times, but there are no big storms in our future.
