Changes in the form of higher humidity, hotter temperatures, and better rain chances may impact part of your holiday weekend.
Before that, though, the chance for a couple of isolated showers, maybe a few storms, exists for the rest of this Wednesday. Should something develop, it would be minimal in terms of coverage.
A lot of us will stay dry, but those that do find themselves under one of these cells could see brief heavy downpours, gusty winds and lightning/thunder. This activity should taper down by sunset.
Thursday, we’ll see more of the same, with chances looking smaller and more confined towards the west side of the state. However, we’re not completely out of the woods.
Over the coming days, temperatures continue to rise. By the weekend, we’re back in the 90s for highs. Combine that with higher humidity, and it’ll feel more like the upper 90s. We won’t rule out a heat index in triple digits.
Most of the holiday weekend still looks alright, but later Sunday is when we’ll have the chance for showers and storms to return.
While we will have to hone in on the timing, we’re leaning towards this being more of an evening event at this point. Some of this rain looks to also linger into Monday morning.
