DETROIT – The rest of this Wednesday we’ll be watching the radar closely as a few showers and a couple of thunderstorms are looking to move through Southeast Michigan. Then, we look ahead to what is looking like another hot and muggy weekend around here.
Wednesday storm chances
For the rest of the daylight hours of this Wednesday, scattered showers and a few storms are looking likely.
These won’t be widespread, but those who find themselves in the path of these could see brief heavy downpours, lightning and thunder, and some gusty winds. Hail is also possible in a couple of the stronger storms.
This activity should taper down before sunset, and the rest of the night should be quiet as temperatures drop into the 60s.
End of workweek
Both Thursday and Friday we start to see the humidity creep up, along with the temperatures. Highs both days are in the middle to upper 80s, but it’ll feel more like it’s near 90.
Also, each day, a couple of isolated showers will try to develop, but these chances are pretty slim. Anything that does develop will be few and far between.
Weekend weather
As we head into the weekend, that’s when we see the humidity really crank up. Highs will be near 90 degrees on Saturday, but it’ll feel like the upper 90s with the humidity. Stay cool this weekend!
We’re also tracking another round of showers and storms that could impact your weekend plans. Long-range data is a little back and forth on the timing, but it’s still looking like Saturday evening into Sunday morning is the general time period in which we would see showers and storms move in.
That being said, most of the daylight hours both days this weekend look like they’ll be okay.
