DETROIT – Scattered light rain showers are pushing across the area this morning. It might not be enough for an umbrella, but the light rain jacket will certainly keep you dry! Most of this should push out by late morning. Otherwise, mostly cloudy and cooler today with highs in the mid-60s. Clouds will break, giving way to some sunshine by the dinner hour.
Radiational cooling will drop us into the 30s tonight offering patchy frost formation, especially farther inland.
Dry weather and average temperatures for mid-October persist Thursday with highs back in the mid-60s. Warmer air, but a more active rain pattern is expected Friday through this weekend. At this point, it looks like rain chances increase after sunset on Friday.
We will be back into the 70s on Saturday with scattered rain chances, but more widespread rain is likely on Sunday as we cool back off into the 60s.
