DETROIT – Don’t forget the sunglasses as you head out today and if you are looking for something to do this afternoon, it would be a perfect day to hit an apple orchard or cider mill! That’s because it will be sunny and seasonal with highs in the mid-60s.
Tomorrow
Scattered rain chances are possible on Friday morning. Otherwise, another near average day with highs in the sixties.
Weekend
Feeling more September-like on Saturday as warmer air arrives with a chance for a shower or storm, especially in the afternoon. Otherwise, partly cloudy with a warm breeze around 20mph helping our highs rise into the mid-70s. Temperatures could possibly be even warmer in our southern communities... The pick day of the weekend!
There is an increasing likelihood of a stronger low pressure system to track across the Great Lakes late Saturday into Sunday bringing widespread rain, strong winds and cooler temperatures for the second half of the weekend. Sunday’s forecast includes rainfall totals ranging between 0.75″ to 1.5″ with a chance for even greater amounts. Temperatures will be back into the 60s and wind gusts will likely be upward of 30 mph.
Next Week
Additional rain is becoming increasingly likely by Tuesday as the next trough dives into the Great Lakes.
